Land O Lakes® Butter Flasher
Special thanks to Dan Braun who taught me how to do this back in '97.
Step-by-step instructions on how to create your very own Land O Lakes® Butter Flasher. Or click here to see it in action.
Tools Needed:
1LB package of Land O Lakes Butter
Exacto Knife or Razor Blade
Glue Stick (no eating)
Scotch Tape or Thin Adhesive Magnet
Step 1: Remove the four butter sticks from the package.
Step 2: Cut out the two sides of the box that the now-famous Indian maiden grace. They should be pretty close to identical. You do not
need to keep the other two sides which probably have nutritional facts and a recipe. Toss 'em.
Step 3: On one of the sides, carefully slice the left, bottom, and right side of the Land O Lakes box that the Indian madien is holding in the illustration.
You will need to slice all the way through the cardboard.
Step 4: Push the small flap that you just made out towards you so that the small box opens up. The fold is on the top.
Step 5: Now get your other side of the box. Using your blade, cut out the knee caps of the Indian madien, make sure you get enough cardboard around
her knees so that you have enough area to glue.
Step 6: Position the freshly cut knee caps behind the flap that you had just made in the other side. You want the knee caps to appear as though they are breasts.
(This is the whole pay-off here.)
Step 7: Now place glue on the back of the card where you cut the flap, attach the knee caps (breasts) and press so that it sticks well. (Make sure they line up nicely
on the other side, you don't want them to look fake.)
Step 8: Your done! Attach an adhesive magnet or tape to the back and proudly post it on your fridge. When people open the flap, they will be happily surprised.
